Cori S. Hvideberg, DMD is a Sarasota local. Prior to returning to Sarasota in 2004, she worked as a general dentist in Tampa, FL for seven years.
Dr. Hvideberg attended Incarnation grade school and Cardinal Mooney high school (class of 1985). After graduating from high school, Dr. Hvideberg earned a BA degree from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1989. During her four years at UCLA, she worked as a staff artist, designer, and assistant curator for the UCLA Athletic Department and Hall of Fame. Dr. Hvideberg holds a DMD from the University of Florida College of Dentistry and graduated in 1997. She also is an alumnus of the Dawson Academy (www.thedawsonacademy.com).
She is married to Harald Hvideberg, who is from Arendal, Norway. They have two children, Erik and Carmen. Dr. Hvideberg enjoys all mediums of art, independent films, cooking, baking, skiing, traveling, and running when she can.
By opening her own practice in Sarasota, FL, she remains dedicated to serving the community where she grew up in. Dr. Hvideberg aspires to provide caring, professional dental care for her patients with an emphasis on dental health , quality services, and comprehensive care. Dr. Hvideberg is committed to enhance her skills through continued dental education and dental study clubs.
She holds memberships in the following organizations: The Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, Sarasota County Dental Association, Manatee County Seattle Study Club, and American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
Cathy, Registered Dental Hygienist
Cathy graduated from Lexington Community College in Lexington Kentucky in 1994. She and her husband Jeff moved to Sarasota in 1996 with her two sons, Scott and Tyler and daughter Brittany. In 2008, Jeff and Cathy adopted a fourth child, a little girl named Kira. Cathy and Jeff have been foster parents for 12 years and still have foster children in their home. With just the two girls left at home, they enjoy traveling as much as possible.
Along with her 16 years of experience as a dental hygienist, Cathy also brings a great deal of excitement to the team here at Dr. Hvideberg's office.
Janel, Certified Dental Assistant
Janel has been in the dental field for over 17 years and enjoys all aspects of assisting. However, her favorite part is helping the patients feel at ease in the dental chair.
When Janel is not busy taking care of patients, she stays busy with her children. She is the mother of Lauren 17, Michael 16, and Kara 6. She enjoys traveling whenever possible, taking their dog Jake to the dog beach, watching her children play in school sports (basketball/football), and shooting trap, skeet and sporting clays.
Professional yet fun loving, Janel has an ever present smile and always chooses to see the positives in life. Her great enthusiam is evident at Dr. Hvideberg's office. She is such a great asset to our team.
